Michael Enrico

Michael Enrico received his BSc and PhD degrees in physics from Lancaster University in 1991 and 1995. In 1997 he moved into telecommunications starting with a 3-year stint at BT Laboratories working mainly on broadband access and IP network architectures followed by a year in a broadband services startup.

He joined DANTE in 2001 where he worked on network development projects (like EUMEDCONNECT and TEIN2) and on the introduction of advanced optical networking technologies into the GÉANT backbone. He has held various activity and task leader roles in the GN2 and GN3 projects. He now manages network planning activities in DANTE and leads the current GÉANT backbone architecture development task.
