The future of NRENs Save to my Google calendar

The world is changing, and the mission of National Research and Education Networking organisations (NRENs) is no longer simply what it was ten or twenty years ago: providing connectivity to research and education institutions because that niche is being ignored by the commercial sector. Connectivity has become much cheaper and optical technologies make almost unlimited network capacities possible. The challenges for NRENs are now in other services and functions. But do we have a common view of what those are? Where will NRENs be ten years from now, which services will they be providing and which role will they play in the research and education environment? Prominent leaders of NRENs will debate these questions in a panel discussion.
