Opening reception
16/05/2011 20:00-21:30
St Agnes Convent
All participants and registered accompanying guests are welcome at the opening reception, which will take place in the St Agnes´ Convent. This is one of the oldest convents in Europe, and is the oldest gothic building in the Czech Republic. The convent was founded in the 13th century by St Agnes of Bohemia, the sister of Wenceslas I. After restoration in the 20th century, it fell to the National Gallery of Prague. An exhibition of medieval Central European art, especially Czech, is placed there nowadays.

During the reception, finger-food (including cuisine suitable for vegetarians) will be served with traditional Czech dishes. It is located in the city centre, within walking distance of public transportation.

Buses for participants will be leaving at 19:30 from the lower entrance of the Clarion Hotel (next to the fountain). Buses will also be available to take you back to the Clarion Hotel, departing at 21:30 from the side entrance of the St Agnes Convent (Na Frantisku street). Please bring your conference badge to get in.
